Mandevilla
The Mandevilla is a perennial outdoor plant belonging to the Apocynaceae family with South American origin.
It’s a climbing evergreen plant which can grow several metres in height. Characterised by very thin stems, vaguely similar to the Dipladenia, but it differs for its bigger leaves, rough and a bright green colour and for the size of the flowers which are also much bigger.
The flowering occurs in Spring and Summer producing beautiful slightly perfumed flowers in various colours from pink to red and even white.
It needs exposure in sunny areas but with good adaptability in a half-shaded position so is therefore ideal to ornate railings or pergolas but also to cultivate in a vase on the balcony and terrace.
