Callistemon Citrinus Splendens

Il The Callistemon Citrinus Splendens is an Australian evergreen shrub which belongs to the Myrtaceae family.

It is a slow growing plant and over time it can even reach 4 metres in height and it consists of erect stems with many branches and evergreen lanceolate shaped leaves of dark green shades which emanate an intense citrus fragrance if rubbed.

The flowering occurs in Spring when the particular toothbrush-shaped red flowers bloom, with gold tipped stamens able to resist on the plant till Autumn.

The Callistemon is a plant resistant to low temperatures but not to frost, ideal for planting in open ground as a single specimen or to form thick hedges.

It needs positioning in a full sun zone but tolerates predominant partially shaded places.

We advise irrigating the substrate with moderation, always avoiding the formation of water stagnation.
