Eucalyptus
The Eucalyptus is an evergreen shrub belonging to the Myrtaceae family native to south-east Australia.
It develops a very decorative foliage with dark green leaves tending to blue-silver and thanks to its balsamic properties it emanates a fresh and characteristic odour which serves both as a mosquito repellent and a natural deodorant for the environment.
The Eucalyptus is a plant that, apart from different types it doesn’t present much difference from the point of view of cultivation treatment and it adapts to different temperatures and is able to grow in a lush way either in heat or cold. It needs to be positioned in full sun so that the foliage maintains a brilliant and healthy colour, but it tolerates a predominant, partially shaded position. In addition, the Eucalyptus is extremely resistant to wind. It needs a well-drained soil generally acid which must be irrigated regularly paying attention to water stagnation.
